Sea Dawgs Heading to Super Regionals Sunday, May 15th , 2039 The joy and relief on the faces of the East Carolina Sea Dawgs players was obvious as they celebrated their Regionals win over the Arizona Lutes. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said East Carolina first baseman Wes Piper, shortly after the 4-2 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Super Regionals. Piper won series MVP honors on the strength of his .207 batting average during the series. He also had a .207 on-base percentage and 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Super Regionals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Regionals finishes. View Boxscore |
