Lancers Heading to Round 2 Thursday, May 1st , 2036 The Lakewood HS Lancers bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a Round 4 championship. Lakewood HS downed the Wilson Classical HS Bruins 4-0 tonight at Bruins Ballpark, to take the Round 1 4-1. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Patrick Copeland, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Interscholastic Federation." For the series, Copeland had 6 hits for .353, with a .450 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Lakewood HS Lancers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Boone HS Matadors - Lodi HS Devils series.
