Sprague HS Takes Round 3 in Deciding Game Sunday, May 23rd , 2038 The Sprague HS Torchbearers and Boone HS Matadors left it all on the field in the Round 3. The evenly-matched series featured a bit of everything and in the end, Sprague HS won the final game 1-0 to win the series 4-3. "Full credit to Boone HS, they played a great series and pushed us to the limit. But we're a tough team to beat. The guys are playing with a lot of confidence now," said Chuck Carter, who was named the series MVP for Sprague HS. Carter had a 0.90 ERA over 10 innings pitched. He added 9 strikeouts with a 2-0 record. The Sprague HS Torchbearers will play against the Klein-Collins HS Hellcats in the next round. Klein-Collins HS won their series against the Sarasota HS Sailors 4 games to 3. The Round 4 schedule will be announced after the Round 3 finishes. View Boxscore |
