Torchbearers Sit Atop Western League Northwest Conference Wednesday, April 20th , 2039 Let loose, Sprague HS fans, your team has won the Western League Northwest Conference. The Sprague HS Torchbearers have officially captured the crown, the 1st in franchise history. "We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said right fielder Eduardo González. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start." Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 27-18 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 1st Interscholastic Federation championship. "You never get tired of being in the playoffs," said manager Ken Leonard. "This is what you play for." |
