Myrmidon Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Thursday, April 28th , 2039 The De La Salle HS Myrmidon have swept the Mankato West HS Reds and are on to the Round 2. De La Salle HS won 2-0 today at Myrmidon Ballpark to clinch the Round 1. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said De La Salle HS left fielder Abel Johnston, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Johnston won the award with a .375 batting average and a .412 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 6 runs. The De La Salle HS Myrmidon don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Rio Rancho HS Goats - Oswego HS Lynx series. Oswego HS leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
