Pirates Advance to Round 3 Monday, May 9th , 2039 While it wasn't a complete mismatch, the Seton Hall Prep Pirates showed themselves to be the superior team in the Round 2, downing the James River HS Rapids 4-1. "Nothing is ever easy in the Interscholastic Federation playoffs. Whether you're a favorite or an underdog, you can't take anyone lightly or you'll get burned," said Jarrod Woodruff, who was named series MVP after a standout offensive performance. Seton Hall Prep won the final game by a 1-0 count at Pirates Ballpark to clinch its spot in the next round. They will hope to once again rely on Woodruff there, as he hit .391 with 2 home runs, 6 RBI 4 runs scored during the series. The Seton Hall Prep Pirates don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the DeSoto Central HS Panthers - Palm Beach Gardens HS Gators series.
