EL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Thursday, June 9th , 2039 Alexis Crum was a calming influence out of the DeSoto Central HS Panthers bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 15-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Eastern League Reliever of the Year Award for 2039. The Memphis, Tennessee native won the award with 12 saves in 19 relief appearances, 27 strikeouts in 30.2 innings and a record of 2-0 to go with his 0.29 ERA. He received 35 first place votes out of a possible 44. Arturo Radríguez of the DeSoto Central HS Panthers finished second in voting with 9 first place votes, while Chris Valentín of the James River HS Rapids finished third.
