Valdés Garners WL Top Skipper Award Saturday, June 11th , 2039 A baseball manager's success usually depends on the talent of his club, but in the case of Luis Valdés, he seems to have taken the Chatsworth HS Chancellors to a higher level and gotten his just due. He was named this season's Manager of the Year in the Western League for leading the team to a very rewarding season. "Everyone on the team put in a lot of hard work this season," he told reporters. "It's always nice when it's acknowledged in some way." Valdés led Chatsworth HS to a first place finish in the Western League Pacific Conference. The Chancellors ended up with a 28-20 record. |
