Walt Owens Out for Season Saturday, March 10th , 2040 Walt Owens is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Union City HS organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 5 months with a torn meniscus. The 16-year-old second baseman suffered the injury colliding with a player at a base in a recent game against the Seton Hall Prep Pirates. Owens currently has a .308 batting average with 12 hits, 2 homers, 7 RBIs, 4 runs scored and a .325 OBP. |
