Blanchard HS's De Jesús Sidelined for Season Monday, April 16th , 2040 Blanchard HS reliever Sam De Jesús could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's West Lauderdale HS game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said De Jesús would be out 8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." For the season to date, De Jesús has no saves in 8 relief appearances with a 1-0 record and 5.24 ERA. |
