Hoover and Andrews Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, April 18th , 2040 After an intense confrontation, both the Surge Walt Hoover and the Matadors Joe Andrews were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Bellevue West HS-Boone HS game. Walt Hoover will miss 4 games, while Joe Andrews was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Walt Hoover commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season Hoover has delivered 37 hits in 157 at-bats for a .236 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .292 clip and his totals also include 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year Hoover has played in 43 games. So far this year Andrews has hit .301 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
