Cavaliers Move on to Round 2 Tuesday, May 1st , 2040 The East Rutherford HS Cavaliers took time to celebrate with the East Rutherford HS fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Round 1 triumph over the Annapolis HS Jaguars. Members of the Cavaliers hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the East Rutherford HS fans in attendance at East Rutherford HS Grounds, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 7-1 win to seal the series 4-1. "We've got great fan support," said right fielder Ramón Zavala. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Annapolis HS fans that were there even congratulated us on the win." For the series, Zavala hit .400 with a .471 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 3 runs. Things weren't so cordial on the Jaguars side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season. The East Rutherford HS Cavaliers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the DeSoto Central HS Panthers - Cy-Fair HS Bobcats series.
