Surge Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Saturday, May 5th , 2040 The Bellevue West HS Surge and Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies didn't hold back anything in the Round 1, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Round 2. Bellevue West HS won the final game by a score of 3-2 at Meridian Park and that concluded the series, 4-3. "Relief is the biggest thing," Bellevue West HS right fielder Wilbert Foster said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Rocky Mountain HS deserves credit for the hard fight." Foster paced the Bellevue West HS offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .269 with a .296 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Bellevue West HS Surge will play against the Castle HS Lords in the next round. Castle HS won their series against the Jesuit HS Corsairs 4 games to 2.
