Manager Beamish Forced Out in Ketchikan Wednesday, June 15th , 2039 Ketchikan is now without a skipper after the announcement of manager Wesley Beamish's firing earlier today. Sources close to the Salmon are saying that Beamish had lost the confidence of the players and had allowed apathy and selfishness to take over the clubhouse. The Ketchikan front office was unavailable for comment on the matter other than to confirm the manager's firing. A BNN poll done immediately after the announcement went public showed fan reaction seems mixed. "Glad that bum is gone," said one disgruntled fan. Several others were displeased with the decision, telling reporters, "Beamish did the best he could with the talent and money he had." No timetable has been set by the team for announcing a replacement. |
