AL Star of the Week Picked
Monday, July 11th , 2039
A hot-hitting week got Lúcio Pérez the Alaskan League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers.
The Wasilla catcher slammed them for a .545 average, 6 hits in 11 at-bats, 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
In the postgame press conference, Pérez shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that."
Pérez is hitting .250 for the season with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 10 hits in 40 at-bats and played in 18 games.
