Hawaiian League Selects July's Best Batter Monday, August 1st , 2039 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 19 Paul Carruthers has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Kauai Monsters star can enjoy the numbers he put up in July, which have garnered him the nod as the Hawaiian League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .333 average with 17 home runs, 28 RBIs and 26 runs scored. So far this year Carruthers is hitting .341 with 30 home runs. |
