Players Suspended in Swamp Dragons-Volcanoes Donnybrook Saturday, August 6th , 2039 After an intense confrontation, both the Swamp Dragons Kenzo Ohara and the Volcanoes Norris Neaves were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Osakasayama-Kilauea game. Kenzo Ohara will miss 3 games, while Norris Neaves was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Kenzo Ohara commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Presently Ohara is batting .273 with 9 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 3 runs and scored 2 times. To date this season Neaves is 1-0 with 4 starts and an ERA of 5.47 with 28 strikeouts in 26.1 innings. |
