Okada Rocks Coconuts for 3 HRs Friday, August 12th , 2039 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Halberds-Coconuts game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Shirakawa first baseman Hogai Okada thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Shirakawa to a 10-9 win over Waikiki. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Okada said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Okada was 3-for-4 on the day with 6 runs batted in. Hogai Okada hit a sac fly in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Júlio Avilés in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ethan Simms in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off José García in the 8th. Currently Okada is batting .312 with 13 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
