Players Suspended in Mahi-Mahi-Halberds Donnybrook Wednesday, August 17th , 2039 After an intense confrontation, both the Mahi-Mahi Charles Woolland and the Halberds Zelalem Wamugunda were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Maui-Shirakawa game. Charles Woolland will miss 4 games, while Zelalem Wamugunda was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Charles Woolland commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this season Woolland has hit .267 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 9 times. Currently Wamugunda has a record of 0-3 with 11 strikeouts and 21 walks in 19 innings and a 9.95 ERA. |
