Year Over for Hoops Lebrim Monday, August 22nd , 2039 Watching Júlio Lebrim getting helped off the field today at Hilo Ballpark, fans of the Hilo Hoops feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the catcher will miss 8 months with a broken kneecap. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Lebrim suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Halberds. This year Lebrim has hit at a .219 clip with 49 hits, 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
