Kin 5-for-5 for Imperialists
Tuesday, September 6th , 2039
Ewa Beach Imperialists designated hitter Li-hong Kin had a day to remember at Rison Grounds today, ripping apart the Yasu Storks and sparking the Imperialists to a 23-0 victory.
Kin wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Kin told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Li-hong Kin singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Hiang-ta Ci in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jorge Coronado in the 8th.
So far this season Kin has 15 home runs and a .288 batting average.
