Stevenson Smacks 3 Out of the Park Tuesday, September 6th , 2039 Ewa Beach Imperialists catcher Ty Stevenson left the Yasu pitching staff in ruins at Rison Grounds today, beating the Storks 23-0 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Stevenson told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Ewa Beach catcher had 4 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 4 runs. Ty Stevenson struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Hiang-ta Ci in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Pedro Lugo in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jorge Coronado in the 8th. Stevenson is batting .283 this season in 48 games with 16 home runs, 36 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 138 at-bats. |
