Whiskin Booms 3 Homers Monday, September 12th , 2039 Whatever Josh Whiskin ate for breakfast before his game against the Maui Mahi-Mahi today, it gave him some impressive power. The Mokule'ia first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Kokua Gardens. His home run barrage led the Oceanic to take the 7-2 victory over the Mahi-Mahi. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 3 times, drove in 3 and put on a display that history will remember. Josh Whiskin hit a solo-shot off Sumitomo Kawai in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off José Liñares in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jack Reid in the 9th. To date Whiskin has chalked up a .307 average with 39 home runs, driven in 82 runs and scored 72 times. |
