Thornton Powers 3 HR Against Skagway Tuesday, September 27th , 2039 Whatever Bronson Thornton ate for breakfast before his game against the Skagway Prospectors today, it gave him some impressive power. The Whitehorse center fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Prospector Park. His home run barrage led the Explorers to take the 7-2 victory over the Prospectors. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-5, scored 3 times, drove in 4 and put on a display that history will remember. Bronson Thornton flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Gabriele Calasanz in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Gabriele Calasanz in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Thomas Garner in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Thornton has hit at a .274 clip with 32 hits, 13 home runs, 22 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
