Núñez Smashes 3 HR Friday, September 30th , 2039 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Swamp Dragons Ballpark were taking cover all day long as Ernesto Núñez zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Mauna Loa first baseman helped the Vulcans take the victory, 15-4, over the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. Ernesto Núñez flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off António García in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Tae-shik Cho in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Bruce Williams in the 7th.
