Wang Claims AL Batter of the Month Award Saturday, October 1st , 2039 When Minh-Tong Wang stepped up to the plate in September he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Alaskan League Batter of the Month award. The young Kenai first baseman posted a .409 batting average with 13 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 16 runs. Wang also worked pitchers for 9 walks to post a .494 on-base percentage. This year Wang has batted at a .309 pace with 107 hits, 46 home runs, 89 RBIs and scored 79 times. |
