Nene Move on to Divisional Wednesday, October 5th , 2039 Surf and Snow Amalgamation fans were certainly not disappointed with this Hawaiian League Wild Card. The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Waimalu Nene prevailing over the Mokule'ia Oceanic to advance to the Divisional. Waimalu won the final game by a score of 4-0 at Lost Island Ballpark and that sealed the series 3-2. "Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said designated hitter Robert Gökalp, who earned MVP honors. For the series, Gökalp hit .333 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Divisional matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card finishes.
