Best AL Reliever Named Wednesday, November 9th , 2039 He may only be 21, but Jorge Montés of the Barrow Arctic Blast has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Alaskan League. The reliever was today named the AL Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2039. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 4 saves in 45 relief appearances and 62 strikeouts in 76.2 innings. He had a record of 6-1 to go with his 2.47 ERA. He received 32 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tomás Soto of the Wasilla Sledge Dogs finished second in voting, while Kamiel Hessing of the Angoon Avalanche finished third.
