Big Year for Nakamura, Wins PL Outstanding Pitcher Award Thursday, June 7th , 2035 A sparkling 4-0 mark for the year just about says it all -- that's what Sotatsu Nakamura of the Rikkyo University Bishops put up this season. That's why the Pacific League rated him the #1 hurler in the league and named him the 2035 Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. He held opposing clubs to a .229 batting average and compiled a 1.25 ERA. Nakamura stood out with 43 strikeouts while giving up 54 hits and 9 walks in 65 innings. He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 28. Masamichi Goto of the Keio University Unicorns finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Soseki Yokoyama of the University of Tokyo Imperials finished third with 3 first place votes.
