Tuesday, June 15th , 2038
The future looks extremely bright for Yasuyuki Agano. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in International Collegiate Baseball Association.
Agano has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Atlantic League Outstanding Hitter Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .303 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Chatham-Kent Canada Black Bears star also put up a .370 on-base percentage this year, with 59 hits, 14 doubles, no triples, 19 home runs, 37 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 28. Sawao Yamasaki of the San Juan College Oceans finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Yoritoki Yamamoto of the Delft Engineers finished third with 1 first place vote.
