Bear Heading to Round 2 Tuesday, May 10th , 2039 The Waseda Bear "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Round 1 and eliminating the Meiji University Troika, according to series MVP Takeo Sato. "This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 2 and looking towards the Round 3," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." Waseda won the final game 2-0, to wrap up the series 4-2. Sato led his team to the series win by putting up a .304 average, with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Waseda Bear don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Curtin University Cockatoos - Taiwan Tech University Typhoon series. Curtin University leads the series 3 games to 2.
