Sensei Win Round 1 Tuesday, May 5th , 2037 The Tennoji HS Sensei are heading to the Round 2, having narrowly defeated the Manila HS Water Buffalo. Tennoji HS edged Manila HS in the series 4-3, with a win at The Institute in the clinching game by a 8-2 margin. Mitsunari Kohara turned in a strong offensive performance for the Sensei and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 4 win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Kohara continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .292 with a .370 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, 8 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Tennoji HS Sensei will play against the Kisarazu Sogo HS Ninja in the next round. Kisarazu Sogo HS won their series against the Chiben HS Namami Samurai 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
