PC Announces Top Player Award
Tuesday, June 15th , 2038
At the age of 17, Kyu-min Chon of the Rockingham HS Settlers could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2038 was good enough to win the shortstop the Pacific Conference Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .342 batting average this year, as well as a .415 on-base percentage. He played 48 games and racked up 53 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
He received 41 first place votes out of a possible 44. Tokutomi Suzuki of the Kanaashi Nougyou HS Red Dragons finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Naizen Kurihara of the Port Lincoln HS Trawlers finished third.
