López Clobbers 3 HR Against Battlecats Tuesday, April 19th , 2039 Fans at CD Zaragoza Grounds got an impromptu firework display today courtesy of Club Deportiva Zaragoza Toros right fielder Gabriel López. He belted a trifecta of home runs to power his club to victory 11-1 over the Canuck HS Battlecats. In the win, López stunned the Battlecats pitching staff for 3 hits in 4 at-bats and knocked in 4 runs. "It was the best kind of day," López said after the game. "I hardly had to work for it. Hitting today was a piece of cake, with lots of extra icing on it." Gabriel López grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Juan Maldonado in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rowan Braddock in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Harry Chiasson in the 8th. López is presently hitting at a .266 pace with 10 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 31 times. |
