Island HS Sweeps into the Round 2 Friday, April 29th , 2039 It's a sweet sweep for the Island HS Wonders and they have won the Round 1. The Nassau HS Coasters were not able to keep pace with the Wonders and dropped the series in short order, losing 8-4 in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Nassau HS manager Muneyaki Koga. It's now on to the Round 2 for Island HS after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was left fielder Jorge Santos, who was named MVP. For the series, Santos hit .357 with a .438 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Island HS Wonders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Guantanamo HS Diamond Cats - Dublin Shamrocks series. Dublin leads the series 3 games to 1.
