Namami Samurai Win Round 1 Sunday, May 1st , 2039 The Round 1 didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the Chiben HS Namami Samurai are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Jakarta HS Komodo Dragons 4-1 to advance to the Round 2. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Namami Samurai left fielder Inejiro Ageda. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." Chiben HS won the final game by a score of 10-3 at Jakarta Stadium. Ageda was named series MVP after hitting .400 with a .423 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Chiben HS Namami Samurai will play against the Taitung HS Hermits in the next round. Taitung HS won their series against the Dedado HS Marines 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
