Shamrocks Win Round 1 Monday, May 2nd , 2039 The Dublin Shamrocks bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a Round 4 championship. Dublin downed the Guantanamo HS Diamond Cats 6-3 tonight at Dublin Stadium, to take the Round 1 4-2. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Kieran Speakman, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the International High School Athletic Association." For the series, Speakman had 7 hits for .412, with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Dublin Shamrocks will play against the Island HS Wonders in the next round. Island HS won their series against the Nassau HS Coasters 4 games to 0.
