Eijisu Masters Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Wednesday, May 4th , 2039 It went the distance, but the Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters finally disposed of the Kochi HS Shogun 7-2 in the series clincher at Shogun Park. Winning the finale gave the Eijisu Masters the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Osaka Toin HS right fielder Carlos Peña. He batted .345 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 8 runs. "Carlos deserves it," said Eijisu Masters manager Natsu Ikeda. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters will play against the Dunedin HS Scots in the next round. Dunedin HS won their series against the Zhoushan HS Islanders 4 games to 1.
