Point Grey HS Takes Round 3 in Deciding Game Monday, May 23rd , 2039 International High School Athletic Association fans were certainly not disappointed with this Atlantic Conference Round 3. The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Point Grey HS Hounds prevailing over the Island HS Wonders to advance to the Round 4. Point Grey HS won the final game by a score of 1-0 at Ballpark of Vancouver and that sealed the series 4-3. "Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said left fielder William MacKay, who earned MVP honors. For the series, MacKay hit .292 with a .346 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Point Grey HS Hounds will play against the Taitung HS Hermits in the next round. Taitung HS won their series against the Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters 4 games to 2. The Round 4 schedule will be announced after the Round 3 finishes. View Boxscore |
