Simon Deschu Wins MVP Trophy

Simon Deschu of the Hildegard Saints had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2039.

The 16-year-old left fielder put up a .347 average and a .414 on-base percentage, piling up 52 hits, 12 doubles, no triples, 13 home runs, 36 RBIs and 24 runs scored.

He received 44 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Fraser MacIlraith of the Nassau HS Coasters finished second in voting, while Harold Belafonte of the Montego Bay HS Mariners finished third.
