Kanaashi Nougyou HS Stops de Bruin's Hit Streak Monday, April 2nd , 2040 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Ben de Bruin as he saw his 24-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Kanaashi Nougyou HS Red Dragons. It wasn't all bad for the 18-year-old second baseman and the Sendai Ikuei HS Daimyo however, as they defeated Kanaashi Nougyou HS 7-3 at Red Dragons Stadium. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling de Bruin laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This season de Bruin is batting at a .398 clip with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
