Playoff Bound: El Poeta Win Wild Card Sunday, April 22nd , 2040 Those who like late-season drama have no doubt enjoyed watching the Matanzas HS El Poeta this season. The Atlantic Conference Caribbean Division club today wrapped up a wild card victory, with precious little time to spare in the season. "Better late than never right? I don't think our team ever stopped believing we'd make the playoffs," said starting pitcher Álex Cavazos. The team's 27-20 record will see them off to the postseason, with a chance to win the 1st International High School Athletic Association championship in franchise history. |
