Canuck HS Clinches Wild Card Monday, April 23rd , 2040 The Canuck HS Battlecats clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a Atlantic Conference wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 25-23, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said closer Harold Butler. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Battlecats don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 2nd International High School Athletic Association championship in franchise history. |
