Rifles Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Sunday, April 29th , 2040 The Eton Rifles proved to be too much to handle for the Dublin Shamrocks in the Round 1, and a sweep was the end result. Eton punched its ticket to the Round 2 on the strength of a 8-2 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 4-0. Eton center fielder Shane Marsland, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Dublin pitching to the tune of a .389 average, with a .389 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Eton Rifles don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hoorn Schooners - Guantanamo HS Diamond Cats series. Guantanamo HS leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
