Hermits Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Wednesday, May 2nd , 2040 In an exciting Round 1 that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is International High School Athletic Association fans who have come out the winner. But on the field, the winners were the Taitung HS Hermits, who edged the Tennoji HS Sensei 4-3 to advance to the Round 2. Taitung HS won the final game by a 4-0 count to wrap up the series. Sy-ing Fok earned series MVP honors, by hitting .429 with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Taitung HS Hermits will play against the Manila HS Water Buffalo in the next round. Manila HS won their series against the Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters 4 games to 1.
