Nassau HS Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Thursday, May 3rd , 2040 It took a while, but the Nassau HS Coasters finally disposed of the Matanzas HS El Poeta 3-2 in the series clincher at Nassau Ballpark. Winning the finale gave the Coasters the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Nassau HS shortstop Iemitsu Miyamoto. He batted .389 in the series, collecting 9 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. The Nassau HS Coasters don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Canuck HS Battlecats - Bowness HS Spartans series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
