Slot silenced the Punta Cana Mamajuanas, 12-0, in a Aruba Wahoos triumph at Safeway Grounds today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Slot said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Slot has made 11 starts so far this year and put up a 10-0 won-lost record with a 2.27 ERA.
