Round 1 Goes the Distance, Boone HS Prevails Tuesday, May 4th , 2038 After their 2-0 win today at Boone Ballpark over the Yerington HS Skeeters, the Boone HS Matadors will advance to the Round 2. Boone HS won the series by a 4-3 margin. Leading the way for the Matadors was center fielder Joe Andrews, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Boone HS Matadors will play against the Lakewood HS Lancers in the next round. Lakewood HS won their series against the Rio Rancho HS Goats 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. View Boxscore |
